Sharon Stacy

Sharon Stacy is a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Massachusetts. In 2016 she started working in the industry and completed her degree in Applied Science and Funeral Service from 快手约炮 in 2018. Sharon has had the pleasure of working in both family and corporate funeral homes.

Sharon takes great pride in educating the public about funeral service which has led her to specializing as an Advance Planning Funeral Director. She has found that people look for someone who will make them feel comfortable and confident in their decisions during the process. It never escapes her with how much trust the community puts into the funeral home.

Sharon resides in the South Shore of Massachusetts with her significant other Tim and their English Lab Bruschi. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new breweries, camping and spending a lot of time outside especially when it’s sunny.

Yasmin Carter

Yasmin Carter, Ph.D., is the Associate Dean for Academic Programs at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences School of Optometry and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Translational Anatomy at UMass Chan Medical School. With over 15 years of experience teaching anatomy, Dr. Carter combines her anthropological training and global expertise to bring a unique perspective to her classrooms.

Dr. Carter’s professional journey has taken her from high-resolution imaging research at a Canadian synchrotron facility to teaching in medical and health science programs across North America. She has extensive experience in the anthropology of death and dying and the ethical treatment of human remains, areas she is passionate about sharing with students entering mortuary sciences.

Known for her innovative teaching methods and approachable style, Dr. Carter has worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, inspiring them to master the complexities of human anatomy while addressing the sensitive nature of death. She brings a practical, empathetic, and globally informed perspective to her work, helping future professionals build skills that serve their communities with respect and care.

Briana Strycharz

Briana Strycharz, LMSW, lives in Stonington, CT. She is a dedicated elementary school social worker who is passionate about helping students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Quinnipiac University, and a Master鈥檚 Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. In her free time, Briana enjoys reading, being by the water or at the beach, and spending time with her husband and family.

Krista Scarano

Krista Scarano, lives in Waterford, CT and has been teaching elementary-aged students for 9 years. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Childhood Education and Sociology/Anthropology from Elmira College, a Master’s in Education Technology from the University of St. Joseph, and a certification in Education Leadership from Sacred Heart University. Passionate about exploring other cultures, she enjoys traveling throughout Europe with her husband. As an adjunct听instructor, Krista is excited to use her experience in growing up in a multi-generational family of business owners.听

Kayla Scardina

Kayla is an elementary special education teacher with a specialty in learning and behavior disorders. Kayla excels in creating individualized education programs for each individual student to meet their unique learning needs. Beyond Kayla’s bachelor鈥檚 degree in special education, she holds a master’s degree in reading as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership.

Holding a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Queens College, Joane combines her technical expertise with a strong commitment to student success and institutional integrity.

Kyle has a background in IT and customer service. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his young son and wife. He enjoys doing various outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and working on projects around the house.

Beth has over two decades experience in accounting and finance, having worked in both the public and private sectors. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Framingham State University.

She is keen to leverage her expertise in user-centered design to听enhance FMC鈥檚 student experience. Joy currently resides in Ireland with her partner and dogs.

Ryan Ricci

Clinical Coordinator

Ryan has always had interests in art and science. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2017, he worked in the art museum education field for several years.

Ryan found funeral service and FINE upon searching for a change, and a second career. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with the Varnum and Charbonneau Funeral Homes, as well as a 2023 Summa Cum Laude graduate of FINE and the Valedictorian of his class. In his second year of school, Ryan was featured in the September 2023 edition of American Funeral Director Magazine, in an article titled 鈥淥nes to Watch.鈥�

In his free time he enjoys maintaining his tiny backyard garden, pop culture and collecting, creating art, and learning the Italian and Russian languages on Duolingo.

Malia Gallagher

Malia has two years of experience working in admissions. Prior to coming to FINE Mortuary, she worked as an admissions counselor in Danvers, MA. She has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in English, a minor in Psychology, and a specialization in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In her free time, Malia enjoys baking, crocheting, and spending time with her dog.

Corrie has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in social work and has over a decade of experience working as a Financial Aid Administrator.听 听

Kari Northey

Kari Northey is a 20-year licensed funeral director and embalmer in Michigan, with bachelor鈥檚 degrees in psychology and mortuary science. She is a freelance funeral director at several local funeral homes in SW Michigan. For the last five years, she has been Kari the Mortician on YouTube and other social media platforms. She has a passion for educating consumers, supporting students and aspiring morticians, and working in the funeral home with families as they maneuver the funeral process and caring for the deceased.听

Kari has two daughters and enjoys time with her family, including her partner Josh and his son. Michigan is plentiful with woods and lakes and they enjoy all types of adventures.听

Monica La Vita

Monica is a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Massachusetts. She completed her Associate Degree in Applied Science in Funeral Service from 快手约炮 and a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Criminal Justice from Bay State College.

Monica’s true passion is embalming. She believes in the value of viewing and the comfort that it brings to the families she serves. She holds a huge responsibility to be able to look after their loved one and give them back their dignity and identity. She is known for her acute attention to detail and the sincere love she has for her job.

Monica takes the time to embrace continuing education, whether it’s online or attending seminars outside of the state. She currently serves as a preceptor for Mortuary students where she enjoys helping others understand new concepts and build skills within the industry. When she is not working, Monica enjoys spending time with her two hairless cats. She is also an avid concertgoer.听

Mary Ellen Armbrust

Mary Ellen Armbrust grew up in a small town in upstate NY and after college she migrated to Alaska to fish commercially then eventually settled in Seattle, WA where she now resides with her husband of twenty-seven years, two fabulous daughters and a goofy and lovable dog. Mary Ellen is a part-time bookkeeper and full-time mom to a daughter preparing for college and another daughter who requires full care. When time allows, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, walking, outings with her daughters, and spending time with friends and family.

Austin Perrin

Austin Perrin is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both New Hampshire and Tennessee. He has worked in the funeral profession since 2016. Austin began his career as an apprentice with a family-owned funeral home graduating Sum Cum Laude from 快手约炮 in 2019. Austin is currently working for Milestone Funeral Partners overseeing multiple funeral homes.

Austin resides in the Lakes Region of NH with his wife and children. In his free time, he enjoys time with his family, golfing, and fishing.

Sarah DeMelo

Sarah is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer who graduated 快手约炮 in 2022. After experiencing the deaths of her uncle and Grandfather in 2019, she made the decision to enroll at FMC. With a passion for embalming, helping others, and comforting them during a difficult period in their life, she has added a greater purpose and fulfillment to her career.

Prior to working in the funeral service industry Sarah worked as a manager for 18 years where she gained experience with sales, human resources, merchandising, and day-to-day operations.听 In her spare time, she enjoys anything outdoors in the Summer, including traveling to the Caribbean. A normal day after work will include cooking and spending time with her son and three dogs. She is currently working towards certification for insurance license and one day hopes to manage a funeral home of her own.听

Sarah Decatur

Sarah Decatur will receive her Associate Degree in Mortuary Science at 快手约炮 in the Summer of 2025.

During her time so far at FINE, Sarah received the great honor of being the student chosen for a paid internship at UMASS Chan Anatomical Lab, which enriched her appreciation and skills, as well as meeting and working with staff. In addition, she is honored to have been invited to sit on the Advisory Board at 快手约炮.

Sarah has a passion and love for the history of funeral service, and specifically ancient Egyptian rituals and rites.

Sarah lives in Henniker, N.H. with her family and new baby daughter, Isabella.听听 She is excited to continue her education and looks forward to where her talents, skills and interests may bring her.

Jerelyn Serra

A fifth-generation funeral director licensed in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Jerelyn R. (Rondeau) Serra grew up feeling called to the funeral profession. She is determined help families talk about, be prepared for and educate all the she can about the importance of a personalized farewell.

In addition to serving on the Advisory Board for FMC, Jerelyn serves on the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association Board and most recently on the CANA Education Board. Jerelyn is a Certified Celebrant and has been formally trained through The InSight Institute to meet the needs of families during their time of loss.

Jerelyn received her undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts in 2002. She also holds a degree in Mortuary Science from 快手约炮 (FMC) graduating in 2008.

Jim Acciardo

Jim became a registered funeral director and licensed embalmer in February of 2022.听

Jim began his funeral service career in 2011, working with his father in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 2018 he decided to enroll at the Funeral Institute of New England (FINE) in Norwood, Massachusetts, and discovered an even larger passion for helping the families he has served. Jim graduated Cum Laude in July 2021 after earning his Associate’s Degree in Mortuary Science.听

Jim Joined the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., in May of 2022. Jim currently resides in Peterborough, New Hampshire, with his wife Nicole and their son Liam.

Maryam Salaam

Mrs. Maryam A. Salaam was born in Philadelphia, PA and earned her Associates of Science degree at Kellogg Community College. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree in science at Old Dominion University where she majored in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. She earned her master鈥檚 in biomedical sciences from Liberty University in 2017. She is an instructor at ECPI University where she has been since 2020 where she teaches both remotely and on campus, as well as an Adjunct faculty at 快手约炮 where she teaches various science disciplines. Mrs. Salaam is certified in Diet and Nutrition,听and Immunology which she studies and researches in her spare time.

Melissa Rodriguez

Melissa comes to us as Director after a career spanning two decades in Financial Aid as a Counselor and Loan Officer. She has worked for large state and community colleges, as well as for smaller private and proprietary colleges. Her greatest passion comes from helping students, and she wishes to be the resource to others that she had always wished for herself while she was a student. Melissa graduated from Stony Brook University with a BA in Psychology, and then from Dowling College with her MBA in Management.

Melissa is an avid traveler and has visited over 40 countries and looks forward to doubling that number. Melissa resides in New York with her husband David and their Shih Tzu Emma.

Tammy Beckedorf

Tammy has over 15 years experience in business including management, finance, change management, quality, and compliance within the banking and real estate industry. She brings a service driven mindset with a focus on cross-functional collaboration. Tammy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from SUNY at Fredonia.

Melissa Traino

With 25 years of professional experience and expertise in guiding families through the complexities of end-of-life matters, having served thousands of bereaved families all over the country, Melissa A. Traino, MA, LFD, a licensed professional in multiple states, proudly serves as the Founder and CEO of Omega Funeral Consulting.听听

In her capacities as a Licensed Funeral Director, Cemetery Specialist, Thanatologist, and Memorialization Expert, Melissa takes an active role in encouraging open dialogue, simplifying navigation, and enhancing understanding in the sometimes unfamiliar realm of the funeral and memorialization industry.听

Through participating in educational speaking events and lending her expertise as an advocate, mediator, funerary event specialist, and death care consultant, Melissa demystifies the complexities of death care services. Her commitment ensures that families are equipped with comprehensive information to make informed decisions while staying within their budgetary constraints.听

While serving as Program Director at Mid-America College of Funeral Directing, Melissa served as a Board Member for Pierce College’s National Board Examination Committee and Curriculum Committee. Melissa also served as a Board Member for the America Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE), Accreditation Liaison Committee. She developed and implemented prospecting strategies to build clinical site partnerships, expanding inspected and contracted student training opportunities by 35%. During her tenure as Program Director, the college was proud to report a consistent and impressive increase in student national test scores year after year.听

In time of mass fatalities, Melissa is听deployed as a recovery and survivor advocate for governmental and state organizations, including HHS (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), OEM (Office of Emergency Management), NDMS VIC (National Disaster Medical System Victim Information Center), and FEMORS (Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System).听

Samantha “Sam” Erler taught High School English for 7 years before returning to school to pursue her Funeral Directing and Embalming education from Worsham College of Mortuary Science.

Sam is licensed to practice in both Indiana and Minnesota and enjoys implementing the skills she has acquired through her varied professional experiences.

During her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband and three pets and looks forward to welcoming their new baby.

Angel Rios

Angel Rios is a highly experienced senior advisor with over 21 years of expertise in accounting strategy and business operations. His focus has been primarily in the defense industries, where he gained valuable insights and knowledge.听

Born and raised in a small island in the western Caribbean known as Puerto Rico, Angel developed an interest in business and accounting from a young age. After completing his bachelor’s degree in accounting, he moved to the United States and has been living in Texas ever since.听

To further enhance his skills and knowledge, he pursued a Doctorate in Business Administration with a specialization in Public Business from Northcentral University. Additionally, he holds two master鈥檚 degrees – one with a concentration in Accounting and Finance, and the other in Business Management – from American Intercontinental University.听

Jamie Jackson

Jamie Jackson is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operatory, and Certified Celebrant at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory in Rhode Island. Although she is a fifth-generation funeral director, funeral service was not always the direction planned. After graduating from The George Washington University with a bachelor’s in psychology in 2009, she returned home and worked in the mental health field until 2014 when she started attending 快手约炮 and became licensed in 2016. Most recently, she obtained her Masters of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jamie is passionate about funeral service, especially about adapting to changing trends in the industry, but is also passionate about finding the delicate balance between work and personal life. She enjoys spending time with her nieces, taking her Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, Henry, on adventures, skiing, and playing tennis.

Michele Reed

Michele Reed is a nurse attorney with extensive experience in medical malpractice and class action litigation. She has an active license in Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Michele is a graduate of Widener Law School in Wilmington, Delaware. She received her MSN from Immaculata University in Pennsylvania and graduated magna cum laude with her BSN from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.

Michele has over 20 years of experience in Health Care Administration in private and government health care facilities. She has vast experience in critical care and behavioral health care. Additionally, she has taught nursing administration at West Chester University and Immaculata University in Pennsylvania.

Greg Gallagher

Greg Gallagher, is a Massachusetts licensed funeral director and embalmer in Massachusetts with over 25 years of experience in the funeral business. He is the manager of Badger Funeral Homes in Littleton and Groton, MA. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, Associates Degree in Thanatology and is a graduate of 快手约炮 where he earned an Associates Degree in Funeral Service. A caring and compassionate clinical coordinator, he serves all families proudly with dignity and respect.

Erica DeRemer

Erica DeRemer, a native Ohioan, graduated with a Bachelor of Mortuary Science from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2003. She has worked in a variety of roles within the funeral industry, including, the traditional funeral director /embalmer role, preneed sales, pet funeral services, building and managing simple cremation companies for family-owned funeral home owners, and as a general manager of four simple cremation companies for Park Lawn. She has worked in hospice as a public relations and marketing director and done consulting work with Nationwide Cremation Consulting and Veterans Funeral Care.

Erica has been featured in a National Geographic episode on American death rites, a guest speaker for presentations at Bowling Green State University and The University of Findlay, holds professional certifications in freelance writing, public relations, is a certified funeral celebrant, and is currently working on her MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management.

Erica currently lives in Nashville, TN with her husband- United States Air Force retiree- and her daughter. She enjoys riding horses, outdoor activities and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

  • Provides customer service in all areas of funeral arrangements, cremation ceremonies and internment to assist families following the loss of a loved one听
  • Provides exemplary personalized and professional service听
  • Performs on-call responsibilities including: taking first calls, talking with families, answering questions, providing initial details, and; conducting transfers听
  • Supervises and cares for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks such as: verifying identification; obtaining authorization for embalming; embalming; dressing, styling hair and/or applying cosmetics; preparing cremated remains听

  • Ensures client families are informed of special recognition/services available for veterans and ensures the delivery of selected recognition/services听
  • Arranges for the interment or cremation of human remains
  • Confirms authorization to proceed with the service arrangements
  • Supervises/assists in funeral services by: supervising the parking of cars; ushering; driving funeral vehicles; assisting at chapel and church services; assisting at the cemetery; delivering of flowers, caskets, urn, photos and other personal keepsakes or mementos of client families; setting up and removal of chairs, and; participating at special functions听
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable professional, municipal, provincial/state and federal licensing authority, regulations and rules听
  • Provides aftercare in absence of Family Service Counselor听
  • Ensures potential pre-need referrals are shared with Family Service Counselors听
  • Prepares and accurately completes documents and online entries related to services, cremations, maintenance听
  • Retains heritage and grows market share through active involvement with community, religious and other organizations听

Qualifications听

  • High School diploma or equivalent听
  • Completion of or currently enrolled in a dual degree training program at an accredited mortuary college or technical school specializing in funeral and mortuary science as required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board听
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6 months experience in a funeral home, crematory or cemetery听
  • Must meet all licensing requirements in applicable state/province as required by law as prescribed by each state board听
  • Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record听
  • Basic knowledge of religious and fraternal organizations customs听

Yesenia Torres

A Methuen High School graduate, with family still in town, Yesenia brings with her years of experience, an authentic, caring disposition, and a purpose for serving the community that has served her well.

Born into an Ecuadorian and Cuban family, Miami, FL was home before moving to Methuen in 1996 at the age of ten. After graduating High School, she pursued her interest in the funeral field by attending and graduating from The Funeral Institute of the Northeast in Norwood, MA in 2013. She excelled in her career as a licensed funeral director and embalmer on the south shore specifically for the Jewish community. 听Yesenia is happily married to Nathan Patrick, who is also a funeral director and has two beautiful young boys, Samuel and Daniel. 听She is currently living in Methuen.

During the rare times she is off, she spends it with her family, immediate and extended. She is not one to stay home if there is an opportunity to travel; she has been fortunate to visit Cuba, Spain, Portugal, Ecuador, Mexico, Canada, and all of the Caribbean Islands. 听Being bi-lingual has certainly helped during her traveling as well as in her career. Jerelyn Serra

A Massachusetts native, Jerelyn Serra graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1998 and received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. In 2009, she received an associate degree in funeral service from 快手约炮, becoming a fifth-generation funeral director. Jerelyn became a licensed embalmer and funeral director that same year.

Throughout her early funeral service career, Jerelyn has cared for families in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore communities of Massachusetts. She feels honored to provide kindness, compassion and sincerity to families during their grief journeys. In 2020, Jerelyn became a licensed funeral director in New Hampshire and is now serving as the General Manager to six funeral homes within the Dignity Memorial Network of Southern, NH.

From 2018 until 2020, Jerelyn mentored students at 快手约炮 as an adjunct instructor and currently serves on their FMC Advisory Committee. She is a Chelmsford High School Alumni Association board member and currently serves as treasurer of the CHSAA Capital Campaign. Jerelyn is also a certified funeral celebrant through the InSight Institute. Jerelyn and her husband have one daughter and reside in Hudson, NH.

Chandler Ross

Chandler earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from Bridgewater State University in 2016.听 During that time she played on the Women鈥檚 Lacross team.听 Chandler graduated from FINE in 2021.听 She is working as a 4th generation Funeral Director at R.J. Ross Funeral Home in Wrentham, MA.听 Chandler is very active in her community.听 Some of her accomplishments include co-directing Project Mitten for the Wrentham Elementary School, serving as a senior counselor at DARE to Dream Camp, membership of the Wrentham Business Collaborative and the Wrentham Lions Club.

Jaeleen Rivera

Jaeleen works as an apprentice funeral director, as well as an attendant for the Brigham & Women鈥檚 Hospital Autopsy Service in the Pathology department. 听Jaeleen has wanted to pursue a career in funeral service ever since she was a child, after seeing firsthand during her own family鈥檚 services, the level of care, compassion, and attentiveness to every small detail that the funeral directors and staff had. 听In her free time Jaeleen loves to spend time with family and dog, Sully, go hiking, and travel.

Alyssa Croteau

Alyssa A. Croteau, born and raised in Fall River, MA, graduated FMC in 2016, Magna Cum Laude. She interned and apprenticed in a few funeral homes since 2012, but became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of MA in 2018. 听After spending the beginning of her career meeting with grieving families and caring for the deceased, she decided to become an Advanced Planning Advisor and Licensed Insurance Agent for Dignity Memorial, where she is able to help families pre-plan their funerals. 听She loves the funeral business and her career. 听She currently lives in Fall River, with her two dogs, Adaleina and Pierce and in her spare times enjoys going to the gym and playing on an adult soccer league.

Charlie Braatz

Charlie is working as an apprentice at the J.S Waterman Langone Funeral Home in Boston, but on the side, works at an escape room in the city and coaches figure skating at the Warrior Ice Arena. 听They’ve wanted to get into the funeral industry since the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and their Maryland ice rink was turned into a temporary morgue. 听Since then, Charlie has been a vocal public advocate for affordability and accessibility within the industry, hoping to one day open their own funeral home and give anyone and everyone the funeral and services they deserve. 听Charlie is also a major advocate for death positivity, and is in the process of writing for The Order Of The Good Death. 听They’re thoroughly enjoying their time at FMC,听and appreciates all of the efforts that the professors and faculty put into making school an enjoyable experience. 听In their downtime, they enjoy thrifting with their partner, Sophia, and working on traditional oil paintings.

Felicia Bello-Maino

Felicia started her working career as a Barber 33 years ago and eventually owned her own shop for over 20 years.听 She started providing cosmetology and barbering services to local funeral homes in 2016 and immediately knew that this was her calling.听 Felicia wanted to be more involved in funeral service and decided, as her three kids grew older, to further pursue the industry.听 After graduating from 快手约炮, she started her career as a licensed Funeral Director with Callahan, Fay and Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home.

David Robbins

David Robbins, MBA joined the FMC Board in 2014. 听He is the Global Director of Sales and Business Development for NEJM Group Education.听 In this role David is responsible for the formulation and execution of strategic plans supporting institutional account growth and collaboration with new strategic partners.

David has 40 years of experience building and leading award winning sales and support organizations in healthcare and information technology markets with ConexSys, Wolters Kluwer Health 鈥� UpToDate, GE Medical, ZOLL Medical, Olympus, and Cullinet Software.听 David has his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Saint Michael鈥檚 College in Colchester, Vermont and his MBA in Management Information Systems from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Carrie has been a corporate health care attorney for 21 years and is currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Fresenius Medical Care North America, where she leads negotiations with commercial insurers, develops new models for engaging with and coordination among government payors, exchange-based plans, risk-bearing provider systems, and other new payors in the dialysis services business. 听Carrie previously served as in-house counsel with MultiPlan, formerly Private Healthcare Systems.

John Finlay

John brings a wealth of experience in the funeral sector globally to his role as Chairman of the Board of 快手约炮. Originally from Ireland, he has 25 years鈥� experience as a consultant, adviser and senior executive with a number of companies in North America, Europe and Australia. He holds an MSc in International Business from Trinity College Dublin and is currently VP of Legacy Tribute Solutions, a division of Victoriaville & Co, a leading provider to funeral homes across North America and internationally.

Catherine Boyd

Catherine 鈥淜at鈥� Boyd is a 2016 graduate of 快手约炮 and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in New Hampshire since 2016. She is President of the Board of Directors of The Samaritans NH and Board Member of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association.

Alex Acher

Alex Acher has his roots in Central Massachusetts, where he was raised and has resided for most of his life. 听Alex graduated as the valedictorian from FINE in the class of 2015 and is the type 3 funeral director and embalmer at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home in Hudson, MA. 听He has recently partnered to open Comfort Cremation Funeral Inc Home in Worcester, which is a cremation focused funeral home offering online arrangements and affordable prices. Alex believes that modern funeral establishments should be innovative with current technologies to better personalize funeral services, lower funeral costs and make the planning process simpler for families. Kevin Walsh has had a civil litigation practice for nearly 40 years, during which he has handled many contracts, tort, business claims, and property management cases.听 An adjunct faculty member at FINE since 2015, he teaches Business Law & Ethics.听 Attorney Walsh earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1979, and his J.D. from the Notre Dame Law School in 1982.听 He is a native of Brockton, MA.

Julie is a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in NH. She has worked at Jellison Funeral Home in Peterborough for over 20 years and bought the business in 2012. Cary Sommers has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She works full time as a school psychologist with middle and high school students in substantially separate educational placements. In addition to FMC, she teaches for Lesley University and Curry College, and occasionally completes Spanish-language psychoeducational assessments. In her free time, Dr. Sommers loves spending time with family, walking with her dog, and spending time outside.

Timothy O鈥橳oole

After graduating with a B.A. in Aviation Management from Bridgewater State University, Tim accepted a position with American Airlines at their Eastern Regional office in Hartford, CT. As much as he enjoyed flying around the world, funeral service was always in his subconscious mind. Closing in on his 30th birthday, he made the leap and enrolled in the Mortuary Science program at Briarwood College in Connecticut.听 Upon graduation, Tim accepted a position with a funeral home in Rhode Island.听 In addition to teaching at 快手约炮, Tim currently works as a funeral director and embalmer at the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home in Providence and Warwick, Rhode Island. Tim has enjoyed twenty-three years of service in the funeral industry and looks forward to sharing his years of knowledge with the students that he teaches.

Melissa Paquin

Melissa has a Doctorate Degree in Healthcare Genetics from Clemson University with an emphasis on cancer genetics. 听Dr. Paquin has experience in utilizing secondary datasets as well as in genetic epidemiology with a focus on developing clinically relevant results. She is also an experienced educator at the collegiate level.听听

Marc Nascarella

Dr. Marc A. Nascarella is the Chief Toxicologist and Director of a Toxicology Program in a state government health department where he leads a team of scientists responsible for evaluating the human health impact of contaminants in food, environmental media (e.g., air, water, soil), and consumer products. He is a board-certified public health professional (CPH) with an MS, PhD, and post-graduate training in toxicology. His professional work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and books, and presented at local, national, and international professional society meetings. His work has been recognized by awards from several national and international professional organizations, including the International Dose-Response Society, Society for Risk Analysis, Society of Toxicology, Delta Omega, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Dr. Nascarella has previously held positions in the active-duty military, academia, and private sector. He has over 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses in public health, biology, environmental health, and human health risk assessment.

Peter Masuzzo

Funeral service is a second career for Peter, who has always had an innate feeling for the profession. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics.听 He worked in both sales and sales management for veterinary pharmaceutical and medical analyzer companies, where he had a successful first career spanning over 30 years.听 He is a 2015 Summa Cum Laude graduate of FINE.听 He is the Managing Partner at Varnum & Charbonneau Funeral Homes and is a Licensed Funeral Director, embalmer, and preneed consultant.听听

He has been an adjunct instructor of Embalming since 2015 and is also a member of the clinical embalming faculty.听

Nicole Acciardo

Nicole is a licensed funeral director/embalmer at Jellison Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located in Peterborough, NH.  Nicole is a 2009 graduate from ConVal High School and received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology from Keene State College in 2013.  Nicole received her associate degree in Mortuary Science at 快手约炮 and graduated Cum Laude. 

During her time at FINE, she was recognized for her peer leadership and restorative art talent.  Nicole has a passion for Embalming and has a love for the history of funeral service, specifically ancient Egyptian and turn of the century funeral rites and rituals in America.

Nicole currently resides in Peterborough, NH with her husband Jim and her son Liam.  Nicole serves on the Board of Directors for the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter (MATS).  In her spare time she loves interior decorating and hopes to one day own her own funeral home.

Terry Cyfers

Terry Cyfers has over 30 years of experience as both a scholar and practitioner in Leadership, Organizational Development and Business. Terry has a BA in Psychology, a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Public Administration, a Master of Ministry, and a Doctorate of Executive Leadership. 听Terry served as an Army officer which he regards as an honor of a lifetime. He continues to fulfill his life鈥檚 calling and passion by consulting, training, teaching, and coaching around business, organizational leadership, strategic leadership, executive leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.听

Glenn D. He or she is primarily responsible for helping with removals, dressing and casketing, embalming, funeral services, light maintenance, and any other tasks assigned by the managing funeral director.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate is someone who is professional in conduct and caring in nature. A good work ethic and ability to work with a team is a must. Night and weekend hours are required. We provide flexible scheduling options that can work around most school attendance requirements.听 We generally try to promote from within and encourage our apprentices to build their own connections to the local community. Extensive training and mentorship will be offered by our senior directors to develop a high level of service and business acumen.

Requirements:

  • Currently attending or have attended mortuary school
  • 1+ years of experience in the funeral industry preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver鈥檚 license in good standing with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Professional attitude and willingness to work
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist funeral directors with funeral, memorial, and graveside services
  • Perform pick-ups, removals, and transportation as needed
  • Maintain friendly relationships with local area churches, community centers, hospices, and hospitals
  • General maintenance and cleaning of funeral home facilities
  • Help with embalming, dressing, and casketing
  • Other responsibilities as needed
