快手约炮, in collaboration with Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home in Woburn, MA are happy to announce the winners of the Kathryn Cantillon-White Memorial Scholarship. Kathryn Cantillon-White, a 2011 graduate of FMC, passed away in 2015 from pregnancy complications. Her spirit, love and dedication as a funeral professional is the foundation of this award.

As an event coordinator of all sizes, ages, and event types, she truly understands how to meet people where they are, not where she wants them to be. This skillset will hopefully translate nicely onto the families she hopes to help once she receives her degree. When she is not in school, she is home, educating her seven children and helping care for her elderly father in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Julia Olko started at 快手约炮 in the Spring of 2023. She is a Maine resident working for The Fortin Group Funeral Home as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer Apprentice since June of 2022. Since starting her Apprenticeship, Julia has served over 200 families. She has a passion for Funeral Service and takes听pride in taking care of families throughout her community.听

Outside of Funeral Service, Julia is a Fitness Instructor and can often be found in the studio with her students. She also loves spending quality time with her cat Hector, attending concerts or going on adventures with her partner Korey. 听

Alexandra began her education in mortuary science at FMC in the spring of 2023. She currently serves as an Apprentice Embalmer and Funeral Director at Jellison Funeral Home in her hometown of Peterborough NH. In addition to her responsibilities in the funeral industry, Alexandra is a licensed crematory operator, further enhancing her skill set and ability to serve her community. Beyond her professional roles, Alexandra enjoys quality time with her husband, their three kids, and loves diving into the world of literature, both as a reader and a writer. She is immensely honored and appreciative of receiving this scholarship and would like to thank the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home for their generosity.

Hard-working and compassionate, she cannot wait to put the knowledge she is acquiring into action to help her community. In her free time, Michelle loves to go hiking with her dog, Sidney, and trying new restaurants with her partner, Ric. Emily Carpenter is in her 5^th听term at FINE.听She works full time as an apprentice for Dolby Blais Segee Funeral Home in the state of Maine. Beyond work Emily enjoys spending time with her fianc茅 Jesse and their three rescue chihuahuas Hanson, Beanie, and Teto. She also enjoys working out, listening to podcasts, and is a Star Wars fan. Emily is grateful for this scholarship and the opportunity it will provide for continuing education.听

Megan Demers started her journey at 快手约炮 in Fall of 2022. She has a passion for
science and looks forward to her future of becoming a Licensed Funeral Professional. Currently, she lives
in Nashua, New Hampshire, with her Doberman Pinscher, Riggy. Megan is extremely grateful for the
opportunity this scholarship will provide her for her education in Mortuary Science here at FINE.

Jessica Boucher

Jessica is an apprentice at Rivet Funeral Home and Crematorium located in Merrimack New Hampshire and is also a certified cremationist at Merrimack Cremation Services, also located in Merrimack. She is passionate about helping people and is very determined to achieve her goals. Jessica is an honors student at 快手约炮 and has a well-rounded background and education. She is hoping to one day own and operate her own funeral home and crematory and will continue to assist families during their most difficult times. In her free time Jessica enjoys spending time with her friends and family and practicing yoga. She is very honored and appreciative of receiving this scholarship and would like to thank the Lynch Cantillon Funeral Home for their generosity.

Cheyenne Yuknis (Mourning Nightingale)

Originally from MA, Cheyenne currently lives in New York and is entering her second year of studies at 快手约炮. Born to a Native American mother, she belongs to the Mi’kmaq tribe, while matching her father鈥檚 Irish complexion. Cheyenne鈥檚 goal is to spread knowledge for Indigenous cultures in the death care field, and to further that goal she has developed a connection with a faculty member at FINE who has consulted with her to incorporate Indigenous funeral practices into brand new class material, fit within the school鈥檚 high standards of academic integrity.听

While not singing her favorite Indigenous songs or studying mortuary science, Cheyenne can be found riding her motorcycle, a 1995 yellow Harley Davidson Sportster, along with her boyfriend Aaron on the back roads of New York state.

Rachael Cannady

Rachael Cannady is a Funeral Service and Mortuary Science major from Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in English and most recently completed her master鈥檚 degree in business administration. Her goal is to own a funeral home and serve her community by providing comfort to others during the most difficult times of their lives. Rachael hopes to maintain the rise in female funeral directors and contribute high quality work to the field with an emphasis on compassion and care.

Rebecca Masson

Rebecca, a compassionate individual, began her self-discovery and community service journey at 快手约炮 in 2021. Her commitment to helping others led to a fulfilling career as a Funeral Service and Embalmer Apprentice on the serene Oregon coast. Beyond her professional life, Rebecca volunteers with the Kiwanis Organization, mentoring youth and making a positive impact.

听Balancing work and community, Rebecca enjoys traveling with her wife, Milissa, and caring for their pets, Mousse and Tilly. Her empathy, dedication, and community spirit make her a deserving award recipient, showcasing her unwavering commitment to others.

Our starting offer for a full-time salary position annually would be $50,000 with payroll paid once a month (This is a starting salary and increases would be given as years go on based on job performance).听 In addition, we would also offer overtime hours on weekends.听 Health benefits from Anthem BC&BS or future equivalent.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional and caring manner -Carry out funeral services from retrieval of the deceased to final disposition
Assist in the maintenance of the facilities, grounds, and vehicles
Ensure that all federal, state and local regulations related to the funeral industry are followed
Prepare the memorial area for the family before the services start
Ensure that flowers and other memorabilia are returned to the family after services
听Maintain reverence and respect for the deceased at all times
Train all staff and strictly enforce all logging, identification, casketing and cremation procedures
听Complete embalming, disinfecting, dressing, preparing and casketing the deceased using appropriate precautions and OSHA standards in a manner that honors the deceased
Processing of cremated remains, and possible cremating of human remains if employee can obtain a Crematory Operator Certificate
Working Monday-Friday 9 AM-4 PM. Being on-call Monday through Friday and two weekends a month. When on-call for the weekend-hours worked as necessary-not set hours.

Description: Multi Firm company seeking in Boston and North of Providence (in MA) to fill one or two roles for an Apprentice Funeral Director & Embalmer to add to our staff, our funeral home’s continue to grow and expand. Our team is looking for someone who is willing and wanting to learn all aspects of the business, this will be a very hands on position that will not consist of only busy work, cleaning, and errands.

This position will support all aspects of our firm鈥檚 operations including, but not limited to, transfers, learning how to complete arrangements with our directors, learning how to complete death certificates and permits, how to write and submit obituaries, stationery work, on call status, assisting with funerals, calling hours, and with care center operations.
